So What is this about?
I know…why are people trying to cash in on the whole social media thing. It seems that just about everyone is trying to use twitter, facebook or whatever trend just to try to either make a buck or pimp themselves out. It does get annoying.
But the amazing thing about social media is the level of connectivity that it brings people. I really doubt that following @starbucks is going to get you anywhere or anything. What I have found out over almost a decade of using social media is that local connection makes it a great thing. Sure, things have gotten bigger over the last few years, but when communication at a face to face level finds a new way to be enriched, good things happen.
So thats what the WagonWheel group does. It helps individuals that are in business and communities that desire better and more authentic communication with those around them get started. This isn’t about advertising, but it is about building relationships with the people that are making themselves available to us.
The leader of the gang of fools is Chad Brooks (@chaddbrooks), along with a few other people. We have been thinking and working in social media in institutional and community oriented ventures for the last couple of years. We are now starting to branch out and offer our services to others.
